seattle sweater repair
About me
Hi, I’m Charissa! I believe mending is an act of care that extends the life of garments, is easier on the environment, and honors the people who make our clothes.
When I thought about my kids’ futures, I got overwhelmed with sadness about what kind of Earth they are inheriting. I started Seattle Sweater Repair as a way to take consistent, joyful action to combat climate change.
Mending is a creative and practical way to keep loved items in use and out of the landfill.
I am honored to have won a grant from Seattle Public Utilities’ Circular Economy Mini Grant for woman-owned and minority-owned businesses.
With your help, I mended 190 items in 2025. I’m proud of this small way to make a better future. Thank you for joining me! 💙
